7 Days In Dubai: Travel Guide For First Timers

So far, 2024 has been a year of exciting new beginnings and novel experiences, unveiling a tapestry of 'firsts' that have set the stage for unparalleled personal development and self-discovery across various dimensions of my life. I find myself now three months into my thirties, basking in what seems to be the most fulfilling period of my existence thus far. With a newfound sense of confidence and clarity, I am embracing this milestone age with open arms and a heart full of excitement for all the opportunities and adventures that lie ahead.

In a moment of spontaneity, I decided to jet off to Dubai on an ordinary Thursday evening. Surprisingly, not only was it my premiere visit to this city of wonders, but it also marked my inaugural international voyage, spanning a lengthy 14-hour flight.

Fortunately, Dubai is a bustling metropolis brimming with a plethora of activities, ensuring that boredom remains a distant possibility for anyone exploring the vibrant cityscape.

During my recent trip to Dubai, I immersed myself in a myriad of experiences that truly encapsulated the essence of this vibrant city. From marveling at the architectural wonders such as the Burj Khalifa to walking through the bustling marketplaces, every moment brought a new adventure and a deeper appreciation for the rich culture of this fascinating destination.

1.) Dubai Miracle Garden

The Dubai Miracle Garden, with its vibrant colors and surreal beauty, seemed to materialize from a fantastical storybook realm. Every twist and turn unveiled meticulously crafted floral artworks, showcasing the sheer commitment poured into nurturing this botanical wonderland. Lastly, tons of photo op moments befitting for a selfie queen!

2.) Market Place (Souks)

I embarked on a leisurely water taxi journey to explore the vibrant souqs of Dubai. It was during this visit that I discovered Dubai's distinction as the epicenter of the global gold and saffron trade.

3.) Dessert Safari

One of the most memorable experiences during my journey was undoubtedly the dessert safari adventure! As I navigated the vast sand dunes on my ATV, excitement flooded my senses, and a sense of freedom enveloped me. Despite feeling fatigued from the exhilarating ride, the thrill lingered long after the journey ended.

4.) Burj Khalifa

I found myself standing on the 148th floor, surrounded by a sea of clouds stretching endlessly in every direction. As I gazed out, the skyscrapers below appeared minuscule, like tiny blocks scattered across a massive urban landscape. It was a surreal experience that left me in awe.

5.) Atlantis

Unreal, I repeated in disbelief, as I stood there, overlooking the grandeur of Dubai's Atlantis. The sheer magnificence of the structure against the backdrop of the vast ocean left me utterly speechless.

6.) Dubai Mall

7.) Dubai Marina

8.) Jumeirah Beach

Final Thoughts

I would visit again! Recently, I’ve seen the city has received a year’s worth of rain within the span of 24 hours so they’re going through tons of flooding which is super unfortunate. When things get better, I would love to visit again! Dubai truly stands out as one of the cleanest places I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The level of cleanliness and maintenance observed across the city is truly impressive, making it a welcoming and visually appealing destination for both residents and visitors alike.
